Back to the Grindstone
August 12, 2008
Just a short post to let you guys know that…I’m back! After a sweltering trip to the Florida Keys where I lost approximately 50 pounds in water weight – it’s back to the ol’ grindstone.
I got a small piece of good news while I was out…

Will let you guys know how that pans out. Thanks for all the support and as usual, if you have any specific questions, I’ll do my best to answer!

How do you feel about it being rewritten?
PG, I’m actually really pragmatic about it — I go in thinking, “This could be great — maybe he’ll take the weak parts of the script, make them better and I’ll have a PERFECT script!!!” But, alas, it doesn’t always work out that way.
Congrats on the step forward - fingers crossed ..
CONGRATATIONS!!!
When I was young, I used to get mad at Spell-Check for mocking me…you must be very confident in your work to see that someone might improve the parts that aren’t your best work!!
Welcome back. Glad to hear the project’s moving forward. BTW, I love the blog and the fact that there’s another Gator is out here ripping up the town.
Congratulations on the achievement.
When another writer has ‘re-written’ you, do ever watch the resulting product and think…..’that was me….oh, yep….that bit was me too!’ or just get a ‘Gazzam-ness’ feeling about the whole thing? Like you can feel your influence there without there necessarily being something you could put you finger on - especially if you end up getting heavily re-tooled.
Dear god that sounds both painful, and wrong.
I’ve actually never had a script produced yet. Scared Straight would be my first if it does indeed get made But yeah, I would imagine I’d definitely be doing that as I watched it.
Man, congratulations on the produced script. I hope your baby comes out still recognizable.
