    HI Mark

I came across your blog by chance, suddenly I found myself reading about someone considering moving to LA, and working in production design. Just like me. My dilemma. I work in the UK film design industry, and I love it, when i’m working. i’ve gone from art department assistant to full time graphic artist. My last film was ‘Me And Orson Welles’ (dir. Richard Linklater) and designed by Laurence Dorman (who has showed me the way some what).

So. My boyfriend lives in LA. I live in London. Not the perfect situation you might say. He is lucky to have dual nationality so has a free run when it comes to living/working in the US (he is a digital colourist/grader). Our only option is marriage, I thought. But you were able to get a work visa?! If you have a spare moment I’d love to hear how you got hold of it, and how long can you be there for etc. Is it a permanent move?

All things aside, if I do move to LA…I’m ringing you!!

It’s good to read about your adventures.

    F

Got something to say?
