THE CINEMA STUDIES MAJOR

Sara will graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a BA in Cinema Studies.   Currently, she has no idea what she wants to do with the rest of her life, though she will gamely field the question.   She has been conducting independent film research for two years and presented a paper on Orson Welles’s The Stranger at the 2008 Society for Cinema and Media Studies conference.    Sara’s personal mission is to convince everyone that, no, being a film major doesn’t just mean that you sit around and watch movies all day.
